MADISON HIGH SCHOOL: 13
The Varsity Lady Rams basketball team evened their record to 2 & 2 in this young season by using an outstanding defensive effort in the 1st half jumping out to a 22 point lead and coasted for a 49-13 victory over rival Madison on their home court. The ladies were led by Lauren Mexico's 11 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals & Nydia Shumate's 10 points & 7 rebounds. Junior forward Jasmine Ellis contributed 9 points, 5 boards and 6 steals. 10 Rams scored tonight in an all around fine team effort. The Lady Rams play next Tuesday on the road at Clintondale.
