Spring Sports Update (With Tryout Information)

Spring Sports begin March 9th. It is important to know that an athlete must have a current physical and updated and cleared Big Teams Account in order to participate. Please go to www.lamphereathletics.com to find registration and to verify start and practice dates in the calendar. In the meantime here are the start and tryout dates for the sports starting on March 9th: Baseball will hold tryouts March 9th and 10th in the Main Gym. 9th and 10th graders will try out from 3 to 4:30 pm and 11th and 12th graders will try out from 4:30 to 6 pm. Pack an extra sweatshirt because you will use the turf if weather permits. Softball will hold tryouts March 9th and 10th at the 2SP Fieldhouse in Warren for all grades and levels. The 2SP Fieldhouse is located at 7001 Chicago Rd in Warren. Student athletes are welcome to drive themselves or get a ride from a parent, but for those who cannot, a one-way bus is being provided by Lamphere. Reminders for Home Athletic Events: We will begin a soft rollout of our digital ticketing system for general admission and student tickets. During the fall season, you can purchase tickets through the S2 Pass digital ticketing system or by presenting a credit card at the gate. Our goal is to fully transition to a cashless system by the winter season. Three Make State Qualifying

Trent Jackson (Discus and Shot), Georgio Aramouni (1600m) and Matthew Hamel (400m) all became state qualifiers for their respective events at the regional meet held Friday, May 17, at Oakland University. Jackson and Aramouni each won their individual events that day. All three will compete at the state championships June 1st.
