The Lamphere JV and Varsity boys basketball teams defeated Cranbrook last night in their season openers.
In the Varsity game, the Rams played dominant defense in the first half giving up only four field goals and leading 29-16 at the break. Cranbrook fought back in the second half and were able to cut the lead to 6 but Lamphere continued to play hard and play together, ultimately winning 63-56. Semaj Ramsey led the Rams with 27 points, while Amare Curran and Dayvid Alsabbagh added 15 and 10 points respectively.
