WARREN MOTT HIGH SCHOOL: 31
The Lady Rams JV basketball team led throughout the contest last night, but just couldn't finish at the end and lost a thriller in overtime to the visiting Mott Marauders by the score of 31-29. With the Rams clinging to a 2 point lead with just seconds left, Mott scored to tie the game and send it into overtime. The Rams had a chance to tie or win at the end, but the Marauders hung on and outscored our ladies 3-1 in the overtime period to win the game. Keneisha Thomas led the Lady Rams with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Lainey Abbott chipped in with 6 points, 4 boards and 7 steals while Melissa Avi also had 7 steals. Mott was led by Lauren Doss & Haille Morgan with 11 apiece. The loss drops the Rams to 3 & 1 on the year. Their next game will be on January 8th @ home when they welcome in Roseville for a 5:30 tip time. We also would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!!!
